Stargate Atlantis Fan's Choice

I was fortunate to find this title at a local BB today. After viewing the Blu-ray I can say that I a very excited to see the rest of Atlantis on Blu-ray. The first episode "Rising" looked better than it does when replayed in Scifi in HD, but still not up to the quality of some of the movies and TV shows on blu-ray I have seen. I'd give it a 3.5. The finale is another story. The video on the finale is fantastic. It is much sharper than the premiere episode. I'd give the video for this one a 4.5. Unfortunately I can't say much about the audio, becuase I'm just using my TV's audio. Eventually I'll get a small system set up in my bedroom, but for now I'll have to deal with what I have.

Just wanted to let you all know that this is a worthwhile pickup for any Stargate fans out there.

Glad to hear that, but unfortunately, MGM has scrapped the release of other episodes until further notice. Apparently, this is all we'll get of Stargate Atlantis on blu until they (hopefully) change their mind

Since no other episodes are scheduled for release, I guess I might as well pick this one up then. Thanks for letting us know about the quality!

I happened upon it at Best Buy earlier this week and I think it is a great release that deserves a bit of attention. I wish we could get some more episodes but for now this is great. I'm a huge fan and will get whatever they release.

watched Rising last night and it looks amazing on blu. They better put all of Atlantis on blu within the year

I agree! I'm really looking forward to seeing the rest of the episodes on Blu. 97 episodes to go. That should be very easy for them I hope since the show was shot in HD.

dts-HD Master Audio sounded great too.
