Best Zatoichi Blu?

Hello!

I want to pick up Zatoichi. Over the years I have read various threads disparaging the color choices in the US releases. I have not really found a true review of the Japanese blu. I have only seen one line posts here and there.

Before I finally buy ...or choose to not buy, I want to know for sure, is the Japan Bandai release the best to get (true to original). Does anyone have it that can confirm?

My main focus is strictly on the film and not the extras.
