Yes, The Sect 4k and The Church 4k are my two most anticipated uhd releases for this Black Friday. Excellent development. I've been waiting for these announcements to pop up, and had assumed we'd maybe see the discs in the Spring. It's a nice surprise to be getting them now. I'm thrilled that we're suddenly three short days away from ordering. Just hope Severin didn't fudge those encodes.....

I received all 3 of these today in the mail! They are lovely!! I didn't hesitate to buy them when they were announced. I am surprised it didn't take that much time!

As was I. The Sect was a blind buy for me, but the rest were hands down-must buys. I think when they were doing The Psychic, we were putting down a pre-order payment, and that the product had yet to be produced. Which could of been why it took longer.

The sect has some really great looking scenes and Id rate it over The Church. Its a solid blind buy that will probably still be around next black Friday.

Less features “lost” in transition than The Church, but more are gained making it far easier to sell the Ronin Flix release (despite it being an actual numbered release). It also helps that the film is a steaming pile of shit and I don’t know if I can justify owning two copies of this.

While audio and picture quality are an upgrade from the Ronin Flix set, it’s not as big of an upgrade as The Church due to the original source elements not being in the greatest of shape. The Ronin release stretched those materials as far as they could go for 2018. Severin does the same here, but there’s not much further they can go. The biggest advantage here is color depth due to Dolby Vision/HDR10.

Unless one is adamant they need the foil embossed slipcover and soundtrack CD, this is a pass - especially if they’re in possession of the Ronin Flix limited edition.

The Sect as a blind buy? I'd say hell no. I enjoy it quite a bit, but it's NOT for everyone.

I like The Sect better than The Church, and as was confirmed on Twitter so does Michael Mackenzie, if that matters to you (the senior Arrow guy who worked on all their Argento, Bava, and Fulci UHD’s among lots of others).
