Prospective buyers of this note - the Django & Django doc is less about Corbucci and Django and more about Tarantino and Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. So if, like me, you're a bit of a Tarantino doubter, you're probs better off importing the excellent Arrow release.

Looks like it’s the first time it’s been available outside of Netflix.

The Nero and Cox extras appear to be repeated from the Argent release - a Deodato interview also appears on the Arrow.

I contacted cultfilms the other day and they confirmed this is SDR rather than HDR like the Arrow release. Which makes it a tough sell over the arrow release, which is a shame because I'd have bought this if it was the same transfer as the Arrow one.

I would bet good money they're using the same 4K SDR master as the Scandinavian Soul Media release.

I have the scandinavian sdr bd-r disc and the transfer looks absolutely gorgeous. I would buy it again just to have a pressed disc release of that .

I guess that the SDR master is what you get from Surf Film. Arrow probably did either their own HDR/DV grade or just put the SDR master in an HDR/DV container.

I think that's unfair. This is a great looking disc. Nothing lazy about a decent encode.

This does look very nice indeed. Lovely image all round.

I'm almost tempted to buy the Arrow just to compare. But for the moment, pretty happy with this 4K edition and the presentation/packaging/booklet.
