Default Single seasons Vs Complete box set?

Do you wait for the complete set of a series or do you buy them individually?

Just curious. I've always bought them individually because the complete box sets never fit on my shelf.

Not knowing when a show will be in its last season I would of course get season by season like I did with Futurama. But If I discovered a show after it has been completed and I'd love it enough to purchase it then I'd get the whole thing from beginning to end.

I suspect most people will buy single seasons, just because buying an entire series all at once can be very expensive, especially if it ran for 5 or more seasons.

I buy them individually. I don't recall anytime that I have noticed that the box set has ever been as cheap as the individual releases. The single releases have way better deals I have noticed.

From what I've found the complete sets have been much cheaper granted I've waited along time to pick shows up I got EBLR for 80, Seinfeld for 100, The shield for 115, West wing for 90, friends for 89, and King of queens for 110. I have more but those are some of the best deals I've gotten on Shows.

Complete sets end up being cheaper but almost always are packaged with inferior designs that fall apart too easily. I just go season by season.

I prefer complete sets as well. I don't like to buy things little by little. I like to have all of them at once most of the time. I don't watch too much t.v. so when I want to watch a t.v. show I like to get the whole thing so I don't ever miss anything. It's just easier for me.

I have no patience so there's no way I could wait for a complete set to come out. I did but the complete set of Angel just because it was cheap during a Gold Box sale and I'd never seen the show but heard good things (I still haven't gotten around to watching it). I also don't like how complete sets look. I want my collection to look as uniform as possible and most sets are abnormal looking, and sometimes they are packaged so they wouldn't even fit on a shelf.

Single seasons, so I don't have to wait years to enjoy the whole thing.

If I like the show enough to want to buy an entire season, so why wait? I would buy the single season set the first day it comes out, period!
