I wonder if this will follow the Black Phone pattern? Release the Steelbook, then Mediabook and perhaps a domestic UHD release? I really loved this movie so I’m definitely getting it on UHD.

It will. They already announced on Facebook that the Mediabooks will be released in early 2024

Well with Best Buy quitting physical media it's even less likely Universal would do a US release so a MOD 4k release would be probably the only option.

I thought this movie was going to be fun and cool and was really looking forward to seeing it

It seems it has mixed reviews, and while I still want to see it, I don't know if I want to pony up for the 4k steelbook yet

I've become super selective what steelbooks I buy anymore and am trying to thin out my collection with movies I would only watch once and never again. Sadly I'm thinking this may be one of those movies and not worth spending the money on.

fun and kitsch, and worth a steelbook. it's on Prime if you want to check it out, it's what led me to wanting any limited edition of it i could get. ...when Renfield eats his bugs, strap in.

Hm, the 4k disc has problems for me from around 54:20 onwards. Had to switch to the Full HD Blu-Ray mid movie.

Mine took a few weeks to get to Brooklyn via DHL. It was shipped in a Zavvi-type cardboard mailer and arrived in perfect condition.

It's a folded and not rigid slip, which is too bad (artwork is nice, though. The steelbook is very nice.

My copy will not play between about 44:00 and 53:00. (Oppo 203) No visible issues; tried all the cleaning tricks.

This is the first issue I've had with an import UHD disc since the Arrow Dune a while ago, and of course that had a replacement (plenty of duff domestic discs however.) I have always ordered import UHDs with confidence.

Really disappointed and not sure the best way to proceed. Diabolik, or go direct to Turbine? Was so happy when it arrived in pristine condition.

Just played my 4K disc and no issues; it played perfectly. Guess I got lucky. Hope everyone with a faulty disc can get a replacement.
