Sorry it was on a private forum.

Here is what was posted by a friend of his ZEROCOOL.

"I'm talking to his mother now in Cali. I will relay more information as I get it. RIP Dadkins we love you!

His mom told me that he had problems breathing and he found him very stiff. So he passed away in the early AM on Sat. They are doing an investigation and she will call me and I'll post more details as soon as I get them. Thanks everyone for you support. We talked for hours on skype and it is really tough on me.

If you want to leave a message with your condolences you can leave them at 518-907-4553. After a week or two I'll put them on CD to send to his mother. I will also probably fly down ASAP, if I can't make the funeral to at least pay my respects. I looked up to him as a brother."

I didn't know him personally. I knew him form another site and here. A good friend of his on another site gave us the news and I knew everybody here would want to know also.

That is so sad to hear.

May he rest in peace. He was one of the few posters from early in the format wars who stayed with this forum and once answered a question I had about computers.

If I remember correctly, he had had a stroke at some earlier point and was in a wheelchair. He talked about it in a thread here once. I remember he said he couldn't work because of it. Too bad, he was a knowledgeable guy and was a good source of info, particularly in the Blu-ray/PC arena. RIP, dadkins.

i don't know dadkins either but its sad to hear,my condolences to dadkins,I'm going to pray for his mother as the hardest thing in Life is losing a loved one like a parent,son,daughter,brother,sister...

its also heartbreaking to know he was a helpful knowledgeable guy with a stroke that disabled him from work,no one deserves this with such a helpful soul

as hard as all of this is,that is life...

rest in peace dadkins your in a better place now
