Quote:
From a script by the master architect of giallo, Ernesto Gastaldi (THE STRANGE VICE OF MRS. WARDH, ALL THE COLORS OF THE DARK, DEATH WALKS ON HIGH HEELS), comes genre director Giuliano Carnimeo’s sexually-charged giallo debut (credited as Anthony Ascott), presented here, for the first time, in 4K ultra high definition.

The gruesome murders of two young women send a shockwave of fear through the tenants of a high-rise apartment building. For nude models Jennifer and Marylin, it presents a welcome opportunity to move in together in one of the victims’ flats.

But the aura of terror catches up with them, too, and soon, Jennifer feels like prey, stalked and targeted by the gloved killer. As her paranoia grows, Jennifer suspects everyone—her fanatic ex-husband, her spinster neighbor, the lesbian from down the hall, and even her boyfriend. But she is determined to stay one step ahead of the depraved killer!

Starring giallo’s ultimate scream queen, Edwige Fenech (STRIP NUDE FOR YOUR KILLER, HOSTEL: PART II), alongside George Hilton (THE STRANGE VICE OF MRS. WARDH, THE CASE OF THE SCORPION’S TAIL) in their third collaboration together, “The Case of the Bloody Iris” is “pure giallo fun” (Mondo Digital). With its beautiful cinematography masterfully contrasted by its brutal violence, the film is every bit as exploitative and blood-spattered as it is sultry and salacious, turning it into “a luxuriant banquet of sumptuous visuals, sinister chills, and otherworldly beauty” (Deadshed).

Celluloid Dreams is proud to present this newly scanned version, restored in 4K from the original camera negative. It is the version of “The Case of the Bloody Iris” you’ve been dying to see.

very nice! I hope they also have alternate artwork on a slip. But, I'm really excited about this new label.

The artwork is from the original Italian 4F poster.

I had the earlier Anchor Bay DVD which, as I recall, was available exclusively in their 2002 "Giallo Collection" box set, which also included SHORT NIGHT OF GLASS DOLLS, WHO SAW HER DIE? and THE BLOODSTAINED SHADOW. Of those titles, I think Aldo Lado's fascinating and nightmarish SHORT NIGHT would benefit the most from a 4K upgrade; the Twilight Time Blu is merely "okay," IMO.

it's cool art, very fitting for the movie too. I only meant that I hope they include a slip also. So, this label can get off and running out of the gate. I'll be buying either way though. I love this movie!

Maybe our new friends at Celluloid Dreams can give us the BD/4K premiere of the unforgiveably elusive THE BLACK BELLY OF THE TARANTULA! I'd love to see a proper release of the interesting and unusual SHADOW OF ILLUSION, too, along with a carload of other neglected and forgotten titles. Hey, a guy can "dream" right?

Maybe this label can also be the ones to finally release The House with Laughing Windows?

There's a region free blu-ray release of Anguish in France as well as a German release (not sure if that one is locked or not). Just in case you're open to importing...

Day one!
I actually think I like this one more than The Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh.

Love the similarities to Dressed to Kill.
