Which Bond actor was the best?

For me, it’s Daniel Craig, both in terms of acting and filmography (he’s only had one “forgettable” movie to Brosnan’s one good movie, though he was the face of GoldenEye 64 which I have a lot of fond memories of). Call it a recency bias, but he nailed the essence of that character in ways nobody thought possible going in (more on that below) and I don’t think there will ever be anybody else like him.

Ironic because I still remember the site CraigNotBond.com like it was yesterday

which pretty much everybody was in agreement he’s not Bond before seeing a second of footage for Casino Royale simply because he’s blond (which that site hammered home that “fact” in case you weren’t up-to-speed). That aged real well.

Even though Sean Connery originated the role and was very good at it, my James Bond will always be Daniel Craig.

Moore was my introduction to Bond. Watching his movies on ABC. Goldeneye was the first Bond film I drove myself to, and bought my own ticket.

So, Brosnan is my guy.

I believe all brought something great and unique to the table in their era, making the 60 year old franchise thrive for so long. Sean Connery though was and still is the standard to which all others were measured.

There is a reason Connery is the only bond with Academy Award in Acting Category.

The rest of them couldn't even get nominated let alone win one.

so other than lazenby I got all bonds covered

Roger Moore was the one I grew up with so I voted for him. But Brosnan was excellent too.
