According to moviezyng it will be released on 2/6/2024. Sadly it is listed as a BD-R.

Great musical. Still waiting for the original non-musical flick to get a better-than-DVD physical release. That's an old and creaky HD transfer out there in the world.

Ya I'm surprised with the Musical it hasn't sparked interest in a blu-ray release. It's such an underrated gem.

Sara Bareilles is perfect and should be the biggest musical star in the world. Saw the touring show sans Sara and this in the theaters. Its wonderful. Bd-r sucks but I’m all over this day 1.

My OCD is killin' me, and I would love if someone could remove the "The" from this thread title. The movie is "Waitress: The Musical", just as the movie it was based upon was "Waitress".

EDIT: Thank you for making the change, whoever did that!

EDIT EDIT: Ah yes, I see it's still there on the main forum page. Mod, please delete the "The" before "Waitress".

The the is still there. The OP tried to change it, and it will appear changed while in this thread, but from the main forum page it hasn't changed. You'll need a mod to change it.

I've noticed that the text on the cover is centered over the characters, but not to the cover itself.
It's really annoying me!

I didn't even realize i did that! I fixed it but the title is still showing up as "The Waitress" on the forum page.

I don't think Disney has licensed any Fox catalog titles since they bought the studio, I don't think Criterion has a choice in the matter, sadly.

Checking the back of other blu-ray releases by Decal Releasing, they are all marked as Region A - locked (with some of them confirmed as such on blu-ray.com) so let's manage our expectations and hopes!

Image on Amazon is showing the actual blu ray logo on the case at this time, so not sure if that means it’s not a BDR anymore or just a screw up on amazons part.
