Default Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter

Does anybody use this?Do you notice any lag?Is it worth it to get rid of running a ethernet cable across the room?

I dont use it personally, I ran the ethernet cable because I feel it is better IMO. A friend of mine has it and since it uses the same 2.4GHZ that most household wireless phones use he gets kicked off live sometimes. So that should be taken into account.

for XBL wired connection is the way to go(personal opinion of course)

Yep. I'm hard-wired to it. The Xbox would be on the other side of the house from the router and I don't feel like being booted every time the phone rang.

I use one and it works flawlessly for me. No lag issues at all. My Xbox 360 and router are only one room apart. The fact that I bought the adapter from consumerdeopt.com for only $50 instead of $100 didn't hurt anything either.

Wireless networking is nowhere near being able to take over a lan line.

Stick with network cable. I'm able to stream HD content no problem.

My Wii is wireless, it has a few minor issues.

Wireless speeds still far exceed any current broadband bandwidths in the US. There's no reason not to go wireless if necessary. My whole setup is wireless and I stream from my upstairs pc as well as from the 360 and PS3's servers without issue.

If you need it, the wireless adapter is a solid product. Yeah, it's a little overpriced but it's well worth the tag if you don't have a convenient way to run a cable.

Theoretical speed and actual speed with no latency are completely different.

I challenge anyone to stream HD content wirelessly, and provide flawless results.

I'll do it along my 20 plus feet of cable flawlessly for days on end, if you like.

I *did* use it, but got horrible lag and dropped from a lot of online gaming, despite the fact my router is in the very next room. So I sold it (used) for $75 and spent $65 on a Belkin wireless bridge. Works like a charm, and I have absolutely no problem with it.

My wireless router is a good 50 ft from my 360 and I have no problems whatsoever. I'm able to stream my netflix acct through the 360 and when it does the initial connection check its a solid 4 out of 4 bars. I've never been booted off my connection when my 2.4ghz phone rings and I'm able to stream Live/netflix HD content with no lag. I also have the Wii and PS3 going wireless and the 360 is the fastest of the 3. I say if you don't want to run Ethernet then by all means go with the wireless game adapter...It works!

i use one and it works perfectly fine. i can stream netflix HD through it seamlessly with no interuptions from multiple locations in a 2 story home. i guess if you are one of those people who STILL use 2.4ghz wireless home phones then you may run into issues but i haven't had a phone line for over a decade. my soon to be new house will have ethernet in every room except the bathrooms but i still plan on using the wireless adapter because its never been a problem in terms of interferences.

don't spend 100.00 on it anywhere. it goes for ~75.00 normally on amazon free shipping.

Sorry I wasn't clear.

When I say stream HD, I meant 5.1 audio at a minimum and 1080p.

As I understand it, Netflix HD is comparable to TV's HD broadcasts or 720p/1080i, and stereo is the only choice for audio.

That makes a pretty big difference.
