Default Best Blu-ray menus?

What's the best blu-ray menu youve seen? i thought ironman was cool the way he put his hand to the screen when you selected something.

Going by memory here:

Best one in my opinion is still the menus with the talking skull in the three Pirates of the Caribbean blu-rays.

Ironman is indeed also pretty good and I also liked the menu from Cars.

The three Spider-man movies also have a fun, animated menu.

Special mention also for the Simpsons menu: albeit very simplistic, it cracked me up (especially with drooling Homer & Spider-Pig in the background)

One of my favorites, too.

I also really like Universal's simple menus (e.g., the Bourne movies and Forgetting Sarah Marshall). Simple but good.

my favorite: Memento: each icon (movie, settings, bonuses, etc) is one of the polaroids in the movie (Dodd, Teddy, etc). when you move between icons, it announces the character's name. when you select the icon, the polaroid flips, and announces the "memory" of that icon/character ("don't believe his lies", etc)

worst menu: Warner Bros BD's that have none! still can't figure that out!

Ooooh, I was going to say the best menus were the Warner movies without them. No skipping 30 minutes of previews. No skipping Blu-ray commercials. No skipping downloading is stealing commercial (I just bought a $30 Blu-ray with copy protection, damnit). No watching menus that spoil plot points in the movie. No waiting for Java to load. I get the one thing that I want most (or at all) on the disk- the movie.

now i didn't think about that: GREAT point Baron: the menu shots do frequently spoil the plot!! great point!! i take back my previous post on no menus being bad!!

I agree Warner really need to do something about there Menu situation..I hate how the movie just start playing right away..

The Best so far is Universal...simple menu's,loads straight to the menu screen make your selection and hit start...

I completely agree! I hate that Warner movies automatically start playing! A lot of movies I enjoy seeing what they come up with as far as the menu goes!

Generally I do like Universal, but 2 things REALLY bother me:

1. if i pause it for more than 2-3 minutes, the big Universal screen comes on. when that happens, i can't just hit play or pause on the PS3 controller. i have to hit "pull up menu" or square button on controller to get the movie to start again....not sure if this is just me or not but that seems like a bug

2. when i pause the movie to look at a great shot, you cannot just look at it fullscreen without having some universal menu in the screen. a universal menu pops in at the bottom (with green/red/colored icons). when i hit close (square button), it goes away, only to bring in a side menu on the left. so you can't just look at a still screen, without menus blocking it.

When a Universal BD is paused on my PS3 and the screensaver thingy comes up I just hit the X button and the movie starts playing again but the play/start button doesn't....very weird

Certainly NOT the best, but a neat little novelty on "Dog Soldiers". Wen you make a selection on the main menu and hit the enter key, the selected icon begins to bleed.

I also prefer simple and fast menus. No point of making complex and cumbersome menus that will delay the selection process.

The look of the T2 Skynet is nice. But man, waiting like 5 or 6 minutes just to get to the movie with this disc is annoying as hell.

I really don't care about menus, I just want the movie to start. My favorite discs are the ones where they start playing the movie from the get go, right after the F.B.I. warning and the studio logo. I hate trailers! I think the Star Trek Season 1 discs are terrible as you have to watch that lame Star Trek 11 trailer each time you put a disc in.

Simple. To the point. Easy to navigate. Done.

All of Universals are clean and the same. Awesome.
