The first film was awesome...the character of Jigsaw had so much potential in my opinion but now like other posters have said, it's just all flashbacks.

Not sure how well future films will do..but maybe they are going to turn things around with 5 and 6.

Thanks

Couldn't agree more. Why people like to watch torture is beyond me.

The film was great when the first came out. now, all it does is just keeps up on losing more respect to genre as more and more parts keeps on being released.

It seems like you don't really get the point of horror movies.

Yeah, agreed it used to be that years ago movie goers would be shocked by such things but not today, though it appears society is on the road to disolving anyways.

I can't help but laugh at some of these comments. Ever crack open a history book and read about how society used to be? Getting publicly stoned or quartered, or even impaled on a giant spear for say simply disagreeing with a king? Thousands of people crowded in a coliseum to watch people and animals kill each other? Get a grip people, this is nothing new. This isn't society suddenly going down the shitter, if it is, society has been in a decline since day one.

yes, thats true about how some societys in the past corrupted like that and corroded themselves down to being obscene or degrading themselves into oblivion which destroyed many empires, wether or not such decay or ending occured to these empires by the people themselves or a outside entity the result was the same ie: empire destroyed.

This is exactly what is occuring now: moral decline/acceptance to violence/decay of corporations which are giving more money to ceos and less to workers/the graphical increase of terror films which are being called horror in todays monster movies which depict dispicable acts or the increasing pornographic settings in film on cable that can accessed by anyone and isnt even pay per view/the last can only be people paying to watch actual violence being done to each other, decapitations and such or with people allowing their wives and husbands to attend orgys by political party members.

This would decline and eventually put a end to this empire as well with perhaps this time around the proverbial (Judgement Day).

I knew I was going to get a borderline religious rant from someone. You seem to be confused on a fact. Humans are animals, nothing more. Anyone that believes we are anything more is full of themselves. Violence is part of human nature, just as it's part of every other meat eating animals nature. Have most people learned to control and suppress it? Yes, but it's still there. And for many people, that graphic violence is a real fear. That's the point of many movies, to explore emotions, be it fear, anger, happiness, whatever. And news flash, it's not real. I don't even know what to say about that orgy comment, I'm sorry you seem to be afraid of sex. Sex is about reproduction and in some species cases, simple enjoyment. I guess dolphins are spiraling to destruction too?
