Default Pitch Your Jurassic World 4/Jurassic Park 7 Movie

As the title suggests, pitch your ideal film for the announced Jurassic World 4/Jurassic Park 7. Including title, cast, and synopsis. Mine would be:

Title: Jurassic Universe
Cast: Patton Oswalt, Brie Larson, Viola Davis, Iman Vellani, Jeff Goldblum

Synopsis:

Set 10 years after Jurassic World Dominion, major entertainments company Interstellar Media have acquired the rights to the in-universe Jurassic World brand, and attempted a third try at a Jurassic World park open to the public. Their first park, opened on Isla Sorna, proved significantly more successful than the previous two attempts, seen in Jurassic World and Jurassic Park, and the brand has been franchised out to other corners of the globe. There's now a Jurassic World in Shanghai, Paris, and Hollywood, to name a few.

Sharena (Iman Vellani) and her grandmother Verona (Viola Davis) arrive at Jurassic World: Orlando whilst Sharena's parents are busy at work offscreen. Verona has bought Sharena a special "Zookeeper For A Day" experience, where she gets to help the zookeepers feed the gentle herbivore dinosaurs. She is introduced to the infectiously enthusiastic Darren Sinclair (Patton Oswalt), who is essentially like Jurassic World's Ray Stantz, and his much more stern and serious co-worker Sally Craven (Brie Larson). What should be a fun and laidback day of Sharena feeding these friendlier prehistoric creatures turns into disaster when something startles the Triceratops, and they charge out of their enclosure, rampaging through the park. Darren and Sally must work out what startled the Triceratops, keep Sharena and the other guests safe, and try to herd the Triceratops safely back into their enclosure before they can accidentally break the carnivorous dinosaurs free.

Meanwhile, Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) has arrived as an advisor for the U.S. government to assess Jurassic World: Orlando's safety measures. Determined to shut the park down, as he is haunted by his past experiences in the saga, Ian will look for any reason to recommend the park's imminent closure. Can Darren and Sally protect the park, and ensure the safety of their jobs as well as the other employees' continued employment, by containing the situation, and proving to Ian that the Triceratops' escape is merely an isolated incident? Or will Ian remain unconvinced, and ensure the Orlando park goes extinct?

My pitch would be to let this franchise lie dormant.

Remake following the book more closely while also doing its own thing to an extent like the original did, less of the sentimentality from Spielberg's movie, John Hammond a villain who is killed, book's mysterious opening of mutilated man carried in by helicopter on the beach and the doctor being told nothing before they take him away, instead of that shit in the original movie's opening, swimming T-rex following Grant and kids on boat (in the book) obviously kept.

If I have misremembered anything, it is because I read the book when I was twelve, twenty-three years ago.

Who's them? Is there someone in the car with Dominic?

There's only one logical direction it could go. Dinosaurs become the dominant species on the planet and humans are gradually being phased out as they fight for their existence. The ultimate karma of man's grasp on science and playing God.

Basically yeah. Or humans desperately try to flea earth, make it more sci-fi. Not everyone getting to leave yadda yadda. There was no happy ending to the ongoing scenario.

We need to stop propping up franchises that are DECADES old and start cultivating fresh ones. It's like trying to reheat week-old pizza, when you can just order a new one.

Pretty much. I'm not in disagreement that they SHOULD stop milking these IP's past their due date, but it's up to us, not the studio to make that happen. As long as these movies bring in a billion, they'll never stop. We need to stop. I made a conscious choice to stop investing in certain franchises. Halloween? It ENDED. Terminator? It stops at Salvation for me. I'm pretty sure I'm done with Jurassic Park. Sure I gave a pitch just for shits and giggles, but it's not a movie I'd want to see.

Bottom line, as John said. Don't watch em.

"How to Train Your Raptor" - It's 2025 and dinosaurs have become the hottest new pet!

A movie that explores the commercialization and overall economic effect of dinosaurs on a global scale. It could also be done on a smaller scale.

A live action version of Camp Cretaceous, but PG-13 level.

I've seen this mentioned a few times, and it doesn't interest me personally. I like the original Jurassic Park novel, but I do think the movie is better, and you're never going to get anyone as iconic as Jeff Goldblum playing Ian Malcolm.

Love this idea. Could be a ton of meta textual fun.

Think this would be quite a neat idea. Kind of like if dinosaurs were treated like cats or dogs.

You might be onto something. I'd make it Walt Disney's cryogenically frozen dome gets transplanted onto a T-Rex. He goes around telling everyone there is no God and eats only children. All the while plagiarizing works of fiction and turning them into animated films. He smokes 12 packs of cigarettes each day so finally goes extinct right after purchasing WB, Universal, and Toho.
