Wow, it looks almost just as terrible the TIFF premiere made it out to be.

I saw this at the TIFF P&I screening last year. Most walkouts I’ve ever seen in my life. And many of those that remained were quite vocal… and certainly not in a good way. Press screenings are usually a quiet, serious affair because everybody is there for work and have to take notes, etc. but people were just loudly cracking jokes and ragging on the film the whole time. I can only imagine what the public screenings were like.

I’m honestly really surprised this one is getting a theatrical release.

Is this the same Chris Pine that was in Hell or High Water? WTF happened?

Saw it with some friends tonight and had a great time. I went in with zero expectations and hadn’t seen any trailers. I would suggest people watch it for themselves and don’t let all these stories make the decision for them.

Watched this last weekend and loved it. Great mix of noir and comedy, throwback to many of the great '70s LA detective movies, think 'The Late Show' meets 'Night Moves', with a mix of 'Chinatown' and 'The Long Goodbye.'
