Unhappy Sony BDP-S350 EXT MEMORY PROBLEM

Hi, Im hoping someone might be able to help me.

My player wont play any discs.

When you press select to play, a pop up msg appears. It syas to check the EXT memory at the rear of the unit and to turn off and on the player. I do not have anything inserted into the memory slot at the back and have turned it off and on but it still does not work.

Can anyone help me or should i bring it back to the shop. Im absolutely gutted. I already had to bring it back a couple of weeks ago because the LED display on the front stopped working.

Sounds like something is seriously broken. Is it still under warranty?

I'm sure I'm speaking out of my a*s on this one but do you have BD Live disabled in the player settings? On the 360 it has something like allow the player to access for BD Live features or something along those lines. I know BD Live requires the memory and maybe some discs look for it one you press play? Just a thought, albeit probably a bad one.

I was watching nightmare before christmas when it stopped halfway through and said no disc. I stopped it, turned it off, waited a few mins and turned it on again and thats when i got the pop up msg. Now none of my blu's will play.

It is still under warranty so i guess i'll just bring it back.

Im really disappointed though.
