As promised, I am ready to tell you what I think. I watched this with pizza on Saturday.

So I've seen a ton of clips from this movie now from following Newton, so it was interesting to finally see how it all fit in the actual movie. Of course I could have streamed it for a few bucks months ago, but I really wanted the first viewing to be with the best quality. The movie is a little darker than I was expecting. And I could have done without some of the gross monster sounds.

[Show spoiler]And it was a little hard to believe that Lisa would go along with murdering these people so easily, just because they did something on the ******* side to here.

Well obviously the premise is pretty over the top but if you just go with it, it's a decent watch. But the movie itself I don't think is anything special, could be nice for a stream sometime. I'll be watching it again though for Newton and also for her sister whom I thought gave some pretty cool performances.

The picture is pretty good and I'm glad I waited for the increased detail. I didn't think the HDR added to much, and it's too bad it's not Dolby Vision, but at least it does have HDR. For sound I used headphones and this was pretty good. As I said, too good for some of the gross monster sounds. But the various storm like sounds were all pretty good. So this was an improvement over the BD which I checked out, but only by a little bit.

The BD is annoyingly region locked, but this is not annoying as you might think since all of the specials are on the UHD. There's a few deleted scenes and a gag reel and a couple of short making of featurettes. Overall a decent specials package, and it's the same as on the US blu-ray. The included BD has the same specials.

If you're a fan of this it's a decent UHD and worth waiting for. But if you haven't seen the movie I'd recommend renting first.
