I think I will be picking up the POTC trilogy but I will wait a few weeks to see if JB Hi-Fi tries to retaliate.

Is that really a good deal for Pirates Of The Caribbean?

Using xe.com to convert currencies that doesn't seem like an amazing deal for POTC as $44.99 each works out around £22 each, x3 that makes £66.

Amazon.co.uk are selling this set for £47.98 (Delivered), however I'm not sure what P+P charges are like from UK to AUS with Amazon.

I don't think there is any good deal in it at all. I am sure the OP is just trying to share the promo but unless you are new to blu-ray, it will be very hard to find 3 titles at reasonable prices to make it worthwhile. EzyDVD really is a joke nowadays when it comes to their blu-ray "specials"

They seem like CDWOW, they always have a sale, with sky high prices, some blu-ray's on CDWOW are unbelievable, for a £7.99 blu-ray they would charge something crazy like £27.99 and I don't understand why, I can't see anybody buying them at that price.

I agree that the prices are ridiculous for Americans. But at least in part you can blame the incredibly weak US dollar. I remember when a US dollar was worth almost 2 Aus dollars. Now it's only Aus $1.19. That takes a big bite.

Put it this way. Even at local currency, this deal still sucks!! Apology to OP, I am merely stating the fact so please do not take offense.

Another department store chain, Big W, is currently selling a range of Blu-ray titles ranging from A$15 to A$19. This is for single buy, not some crappy B2G1 Free where you are forced to pick three titles and you still don't get a decent deal.

Why didn't they lower prices when they still had loads of stores open and made lots of cash? They just waited for customers to turn away and kill the business!

It is a shame really, maybe they just can't compete with JBHiFi. I was in JB earlier and they had tons of good titles at $15 and $23. Quite a few new releases at $30 as well which is much better than the old titles being sold at $40 at EzyDVD when they were opened.
