Welp, I just got the "Approve the delay" notice from Amazon. No ETA. Gruv shows they'll ship ASAP, so I'm not sure what the hold up is. Did WB not deliver inventory to other retailers in time?

well my idea didn't work out so great of going walmart last night pay 90 cash gift card which was 140 when loaded up <-i paid everything on gift card which was 134 92 nothing visa card now it seems that both .mean girls 2004 and obi wan 4k steelbook went to preparing stage last night and now shipped for thurs while this ocean still saying placed

of course i can't fire up reorder due to out of stock, which i see that they jacked up price

i kindof wished never order king kong 1933 digibook amazon 3rd seller get tomorrow

i did talk walmart on phone could had cancel refund me but i decided wait for tomorrow see if any movement if it goes preparing stage but i got a bad feeling not getting this come thurs with my order 2 orders

nonetheless because what i did amazon last night i don't have funds to order ebay or bullmoose don't get paid until friday unless i don't do door dash for lunch but i'm hungry and my mom went do surgery on wrist today down in nashville

so i guess i just go ahead do that if no movement on ocean trilogy come tomorrow they refund me back gift card and then i have to wait for it come back in stock so i can order again with gift card meh

I was able to order all three from Gruv, but only 12 and 13 shipped (looks like 11 is out of stock now). At least I was able to cancel amazon and learned not to use them for future pre orders. This happens every single time for popular releases. I pre-ordered before the links were even up on sites like this and either they got no stock or didn't put people in a queue, as seems to be their usual practice.

Anyhow, looking forward to these when I finally get my hands on them...

My Amazon order just says “we received your order.” Not a good sign! I placed the order a few days ago.

Amazon is the last place I would preorder physical media from. They seem to have trouble stocking even major studio stuff. Steelbooks in particular are a no-no from Amazon.

I ordered the trilogy set but it had UK ratings logos on them...wasn't aware the trilogy is a UK exclusive...or isn't it? Weird.

Glad to hear the PQ is good, although, coming from Warner, it shouldn't be a surprise as they typically put out quality product - at least with 4K. Their early Blu-ray output wasn't always the best. In fact, BD releases were typically very subpar early on, whereas their work on 4K restorations have garnered mostly universal praise.

BTW, this was a blind buy for me as I've never seen any of the Ocean's films. Took the plunge because the franchise seems to be held in high regard by fans and critics alike but I'm discouraged by some of the comments here saying the sequels aren't as good as the original. If two of the three are entertaining enough, I'll be happy.

I don't know why sometimes when order walmart online new movies for delivery when add to cart is available mon night's around 7,730 have issues and stuck on place get cancel when item goes out of stock next day and have to wait until get back In stock that same week or week after to reorder and you get it after 2nd go around

Again I hope by end of day into morning when look at status online oceans trilogy 4k kick out of place since last night go into preparing but my hope is low and think cancel refund back to gift card not getting it thurs along with 2 other movies

Ordered Sunday, Gruv shipped today, got a 20% discount so the trilogy was a mere $48.

I Think both 11 and 12 look excellent. 13 is without doubt more problematic. Some sequences look like a fresh OCN scan but many others look like early DI with blown out highlights, way too much noise reduction and density issues. Probably just a new transfer from the 2007 DI + HDR grade which is disappointing. Soderbergh approved or not.

Yup totally agree! Watching 13 is very disappointing especially after watching the first 2 which look great. Not sure why in the review here it’s not discussed but the PQ is no where near the first two which again warrant the 4.5 score.

HD DVD were preparing for 60GB discs well before they lost the war. If they had more time they probably would have. There are still some quality HD DVD discs that look better than their Blu-ray counterparts. Hell even their 2nd and 3rd generation players were able to play back standard DVD at 24p.

Amazon is quickly becoming the worst place to pre-order movies from. Pre-ordered my copy almost 2 months ago and they don't have a date for it to ship.
So, drove down to my nearest Bullmoose and picked up a copy there and canceled the Amazon order.

Think this is the 3rd movie I've had to I've had this happen recently. Will I learn my lesson?

And since HD-DVD is a dead format, this kind of comparison is not fair. We would definitely have UHD-DVDs by now if they had won the war, perhaps better than the UHD BDs we have.

Yeah what was great about HD DVD was that standard DD tracks were not allowed. That was a missed opportunity to not do the same with UHD BD.
You can still get DD 448 kbps dubbed tracks on a 4K disc, which is what you would also get on a DVD. That's baffling.
