Finally Freddy Vs. Jason - Page 4 - Blu-ray Forum

I love Freddy vs. Jason! This is one of my favorite films. I can't wait to see it on blu-ray! It's gonna be amazing! I am very pumped and giddy about the whole thing. I reckon I'll be buying this the very first day it comes out. I can't wait!

The color in the DVD picture itself is amazing on it's own, and I take nothing away from it, but I can't even begin to imagine how nice the picture will look in blu-ray/HDTV. It's all going to be so clear!

I'm looking forward to seeing all the colorful scenes in it too. i.e. The red in the nightmare world, the blue in the van, the green in the nightmare world, etc.

I hope the Camp HackNSlash film will be on there too in the special features section, because I was at that event, and it would be very cool to see it in blu-ray/HDTV.

I might buy it but the video will be at least 3 out of 5 warner will not give this a good release anyways.

Since the movie is only six years old, I'm sure the transfer will go well. If the DVD already looks nice, I suspect the color of the screen on a blu-ray/HDTV will look wonderful.

Money is always an issue for me, so I sometimes think I should just wait to get it from my Blockbuster online que, although sometimes with new releases, it takes a while for them to be available. I could wait and hope someone gets it for me for my birthday on November 1st, but it's gonna be hard to wait.

I pretty much worship this film:

I already have it on DVD and VHS, I have three different copies of the soundtrack because they have three different covers on them, I have the insturmental soundtrack, I have the book, I have a FVJ poster, A FVJ t-shirt, a FVJ calendar from 2004 that still hangs in my room, the FVJ action figures, and have dressed as Jason every Halloween since 2003 using his look from Freddy vs. Jason, and have been waiting for a FVJ blu-ray release for ages.

I'm not going to get my hopes up for Camp HackNSlash to be in HD. If it is on the blu-ray, it'll probably just be the DVD's copy of it, and that's okay.

I got my blu-ray/HDTV this year, and pretty much all the DVD's have improved too, so Camp HackNSlash will still look nice on HDTV. If it's not on the blu-ray disc, I may just pop in the DVD quickly, and watch it before the movie. It's always a nice little pre-show for me anytime just before I watch Freddy vs. Jason.

Yep day one buy. I'm hoping target will have it. Picture quality will be 5 star. Some of the best special features of any movie. GORE GORE GORE. A few bad jokes here and there. Especially the Kelly Rowland scene. But you don't even notice them if you're watching with the right people. I think this movie has a huge cult fanbase. And as many times as I've seen it. its been like 2 years since watching it and I've been waiting to revive it. And I just got my Sideshow Collectible Demon Freddy figure yesterday in the mail. He's beautiful. No blood stains on the claws though like was shown in the prototype pics but still a phenomenal piece of art.

I bet the rave scene is going be really cool in blu-ray/HDTV as well.

And yes, the gore is also gonna be very boss....

I think sometimes some people miss the point with Freddy and Jason movies. I believe for the most part, most people watch them to cheer for Freddy and Jason, and I sometimes even think the makers of these movies don’t want the deaths of the teenage characters to upset the audience, and I honestly don't think most people weep for the dead in Freddy and Jason films, and I don't even think the powers that be want the people to care about the victims.

We're here to root for the killers and see the sinners punished.

It’s Gladiatorial Entertainment. After the disintegration of the Roman Empire, we needed something to drool over, so they gave us horror movies where no one really gets hurt, but we can still get our joy of seeing humans tossed to the lions.

So yeah, if the teenagers get on your nerves, then it's all the more better when they get hacked and slashed.

Me too. I didn't care for the line back in 03' either. I thought it was very corny. I was hoping if they did keep the line, that Freddy or Jason would kill her right away. lol.

really like this movie I wil be upgrading my DVD copy. To me this was a fun and entertaining and gory slasher flick. It was great to see freddy and Jason in the same movie. This is a day 1 buy for me along with Texas Chainsaw remake, Creepshow, and snakes on a plane(blind buy)

Loved the movie! What makes this great is that they didn't go for a serious movie. They just made this a fun ride for all the Jason and Freddy fans.

This is a day 1 purchase for me.

Pretty much this. Wasn't high on my list to grab, but I found it for $8.99 and scooped it up.

It's really a great transfer and has some solid supplements as well. Not a cinematic masterpiece by any stretch... but if you're considering it, you won't be disappointed.
