A perfectly placed "somehow Skroob returned" joke would be rather played out, but seems almost required.

Spaceballs is good, and has some funny moments, but quite a few dry, unfunny scenes too IMO that work better as just an adventure film than a comedy. That's fine. Not every scene has to be funny to tell the story.

As far as a sequel, I think they're going to need a new cast at this point. Amazon, okay, it's not going to theaters. Maybe I can rent it on amazon if they allow it.

They did do hotwpt2 already, on hulu.

It was only ok, Brooks only had a cameo

I think Pullman is pretty much guaranteed. Maybe they could just stick a stunt double in the Dark Helmet costume and have Moranis do the voice.
