Might as well start calling it Area-51 Disc.

An entire week of posts at AVS, once again deemed useless.

well.. I guess they can no longer claim their discs are cheaper to produce!!

Even though as far as I could remember amazon had blu ray discs having a lower average price.

But triple layer 45GB discs are not even available, and i would believe at least most of Toshiba's current HD DVd players can read HD DVD 45'. But now they are formulating trip-layer format that many of their current player may not support?

I can see it now: HD DVD trip layer player. It's HD DVD with three layers. New from Toshiba.

Basically it will screw over the HD DVD owners who have current players, forcing movies to stick to 30gb and shoot the point of having 51GB out the window.

Sorry HD DVD fans, Blu-ray already has 7 layers in it's specs, it's just a matter of time before 7 layer technology is cheap enough for consumer level.

175GB beyatch!

HELP ME in wikipedia argument regarding this TL51. They don't want the pleliminary fact to be added to their article and the comparison. PLEASE, a lot of people come to wikipedia first (like me) before making the decision which to buy.
