I'm very confused by this release.I'm a Blu Ray user and can't watch the 4K disks who gets the 4K + Blu Ray combo steelbooks if I like the art.

As a Blu Ray user, what do I get if I get the steelbook vs the standard Blu Ray and what do I not get? If I got the steelbook, would the digital code include the theatrical cut while the Blu Ray disk in the steelbook have the alternate "raw cut"?

The Blu-ray bonus disc in the UHD version only includes the Raw VFX-less cut. If you want to get Blu-ray Theatrical you have to get the regular Blu-ray version alongside the UHD steelbook

Is the split screen through out the VFX raw cut?

Or is there an option to just watch the raw cut without the comparison.

Just ran across this and thought I would share.

The film will be delivered in 4K HDR10 with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack, in its original theatrical 2.39:1 aspect ratio. It’s a slight pity, perhaps, that Disney has opted to put this long (two hour and 25 minutes) movie onto a 66GB disc rather than the higher capacity 100GB option, but experience suggests there should still be room enough for a good looking image provided the mastering team have done their work sensitively enough.

Have to say the Steel ain’t blowing me away. It looks almost unfinished. I think I prefer the regular release

This is one of those increasingly rare occasions where I actually think the steelbook artwork is pretty good!

I enjoyed the film too, so this is a definite purchase for me.

It used to be this way all the time. Now it's usually the steelbook that gets the shitty artwork. Had to skip the Furiosa steel, because there was no sign of Furiosa on it.

Agreed, Have to say in the last 2-3 years Steelbook artwork has nosedived generally. Am considering skipping the Furiosa Steel too but because we’re allegedly not getting the black and white version in it.

The SBs of the first two were so good. Still need to swap the trays and discs.

I am curious with the additional space that the 4k disc has, why couldn't they put both of them on that disc? Heck Ghostbusters 2016 had Frame breaking on the disc.

I'm going to wait a day or so. All the prices for this film are high there right this second (4K steelbook,4K standard, Blu Ray). Usually they pull the page for a short period after it goes up I've noticed and then when it returns the price goes down.
