When Universal drops the ball and fails to release a movie on 4K by themselves, leave it to a indie boutique label to pick up the slack!

Maybe this will also get a 4K MOD title from Universal in the US just like with Cocaine Bear and The Black Phone.

Well they didn't for Renfield so maybe Universal won't for Abigail.

Oh course.

I can't hold out so I bought the BD, same with Demeter (which I also hope gets a 4k soon!) Plan on watching it tomorrow night and if it's really great I don't mind too much double dipping since I used points and got the BD for only like $12. But I can't for the life of me understand why they refuse to put these movies out on 4k right away?! Imported Renfield and LOVE it.

Yeah hopefully someone else will do it. It still hasn't been released on Bluray or even DVD in the UK yet.

I quite enjoyed this movie. But I haven't tried anything from Turbine. Every time I try visiting their site, they ask me once if I want the German translated, then the next page goes to German and they no longer ask.

Just spoilered in the newest Grobi.tv interview with Christian Bartsch from Turbine. That went mainly about the 3D Collector Series, but there were also some upcoming titles teased.
In the next two weeks, two new Turbine 4K titles are to be expected. One of them is a horror film for ballet lovers.

Turbine is proud to release ABIGAIL, the latest horror film from Radio Silence, the makers of READY OR NOT, SCREAM (2022) and SCREAM VI, on Ultra HD Blu-ray for the first time on April 10. Would-be criminals kidnap the daughter of an underworld boss. But she’s no harmless girl and bares her teeth! She likes to play with her food and prefers it rare. Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens and Kathryn Newton lead the cast. Alisha Weir makes her debut as Abigail while Giancarlo Esposito plays the mastermind in the background.

ABIGAIL is released as a special edition with Ultra HD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc in a slipcase. In addition to HDR10 and Dolby Vision on the UHD, both discs feature Dolby Atmos in German and English. Extras include an audio commentary, and about 40 minutes of featurettes and deleted scenes."

I'm trying to order one since the newsletter arrived but the website is buggy for me. Seems like lots of traffic what would be great news for Turbine that it sells well. Very happy that it's a Slip with Keep Case and not a Mediabook.

Watched this with the wife some weeks ago and we enjoyed it a lot. It's not a particular great film, but a film that's very entertaining, with lots of to me funny and campy moments, and enough gore. The middle part is paced great and the jump scares are reasonable. To me it has enough uniqueness that it can be recommended in the big pool of modern horror films or modern vampire themed films.
