Doing some Movie Research. - Blu-ray Forum

All right, I am working on a new script right now and I need some help with a scene in any film. This is what I am looking for; the Glasgow Grin. Now, this is where the mouth has been cut from the mouth to the cheeks. For example; The Dark Knight with The Joker. Now besides Batman does anyone know of any films where someone has this done to them?

That's just with me thinking about it for a second or two, given a bit of time I'm betting Sussudio or Greenscar could probably point you in the direction of a few more.

But a really good scene where someone has a blade in their teeth is at the end of Dog Soldiers and the werewolf is forcing the sword in the soldiers mouth. It even has the nails on the chalkboard sound, it was awesome.

Wikipedia has a list of uses in films and other things.

It might help jog some peoples memories of other occurrences as well.

Just curious, how does this help with your new script?

I can think of a partial one, in Pan's Labrynth the Spanish guy gets a half Glasgow Smile

Of course, here in London we know it as the Chelsea Smile, and I'm pretty sure that there was an example in The Krays.
