Only 6? Lol I'm surprised they weren't all bought by Bots immediately to even see it listed as in stock again.
At this point I'm basically just waiting for a holiday reprint/restock, I can't be bothered to check multiple times a week anymore for this thing. It's not even an exclusive so there's no reason to limit production on it. Even the original Dune from BestBuy was reprinted and restocked before one of the black friday sales and that was store exclusive.

Could have been more, I'm not sure, but when I used the drop-down quantity it maxed out at 6. And then I checked back later, it maxed at 3.

Seems it was a good idea to buy it early.

I need a steelbook for the 2nd film, but I really can't bring myself to buy this version. Not sure why they decided to go for a half-buried Sandworm as part of the cover. Its downright ugly.

That's why I also grabbed the Italian 4K Steelbook. Pairs nicely with the original BBY steel for part one

They need to do a second printing only this time it needs to have the Harkonnens, the cover should be primarily Feyd Rautha in the Foreground with a fat floating Vladimir in the upper back right, and Rabban Harkonnen on the left background. The inside can have the death strike scene and the back the Nuclear explosion…also both discs should have artwork from that White Sun scene with the fireworks or something all bleached out as that was cool looking

I wanted the original Dune steelbook, but the fact that they re-used the cover for the 2-Film Collection in both Blu-ray and 4K kind of killed its exclusivity for me. I know thats such a vapid thing to say, but I felt like it cheapened the original steelbook's design.

I ended up going for the Bene Gesserit steelbook since I think its a good contrast to Dune 2's steelbooks, and to the overall themes of the Book / Part 1 & 2. The Bene Gesserit are the real antagonists, but they're fabulous in the way they move (politically speaking- although their musical motif instantly plays in my head when I look at the cover). Then on the back cover you have Paul on his water planet, with Chani I think (since she was featured in his vision of them flying over Caladan). It's what the people of Arakkis have been praying for. Then the color scheme is a cool contrast to the warm/dry hues of the second film.

I'm sure Dune Part Two will get a new steelbook. The first already has three different ones in the USA alone.

I was thinking that the strike scene would have made a great cover, but it just looks like an image (more suited for the inside artwork). Whereas a front cover would need something striking (no pun intended) to capture the overall essence of the film. If anything they will likely use commissioned art, or maybe a poster.

I kind of wished they used the Sandworm mural for some sort of 2-Film Collection steelbook. It wouldn't work for Part Two because Paul is only near it in the first film.

I think a neat idea for those missing the Part Two steelbook is to take a 4K disc from the standard release and put it in the slot for the 2K disc of the Part One steelbook. Treat the original steelbook as a single collection for both films, since it lacks a "Part One" subtitle and you could view it as two parts of a single film or collection. The only thing that might irk some people with this is that the cast and crew on the back will be for Part One only, obviously.

I considered doing that since it made "sense" but it bothered me lowkey.

I did that for the Mean Girls Burn Book steelbook. I used a 2-disc inner body insert, swapped the spines, then placed the outer steelbook body on it to make it a 2-Disc holder instead of the single disc it normally is. Then I added the original film and the musical remake discs inside.

It makes sense to me since the Burn Book is the only thing that stays mostly the same design-wise across both films (aside from Ms. Norbury's outfits). Plus it bothered me that the case for the remake film took up shelf space lol (I got the 4K for free, so I can't really complain). The first release of the original looked cool with the slipcover and everything, but I've always wanted the steelbook so I just went with that. Can't bring myself to get rid of the original Mean Girls 4K slipcover though. Since I had no use for the actual pink case, I went and swapped it with Barbie 4K.

My US one came scratched so I ended up ordering the Nordic one for about $60 since it was matte. Then I saw the pics on this thread and decided I’d rather have the one here. The backs are similar, and while the front doesnt have a landscape shot like the first, it however looks like a zoom in what was on the first in a way.
