However I can't see him denying WB for the 4K cover.
If they used this one, they wouldn't have to pay Englund, would they, since it's definitely not his "likeness":

It's definitely a classic but my beef with it is the model looks nothing like Nancy

Maybe that was a 1984 thing [see: Body Double].

I predict the cover art will be a neon green "Elm Ave." sign over a neon pink background. WB gonna WB.

But they may have to pay the original artist.

I hope the standard release has the original poster art. Keeping my fingers crossed that the steelbook doesn’t look cheesy.

What is that thing in the background a lizard man or vampire? Freddy's claw design in New Nightmare look very similar to the claw design that was used for this poster.

I've always wondered the same thing. Looks like the snake-man from Dreamscape.

Omg a comment on here hasn't made me cackle out loud in such a long time.

When I read this I IMMEDIATELY thought of their Beetlejuice BB / 4K steelbook cover.

or what about this "new key artwork":

For me, it's the Tarman in Return of the Living Dead.

Warner's art department (if such a thing even exists) is the saddest consortium of buttheads living today.

Whoever they are, they sure love sticking obnoxious credits on the back of every steelbook.

Wish I could get excited about this, but if it's anything like Warner's Departed and Twister steelbooks, I won't get it anyway. Even if I do pre-order

I wish they would release this with the 4K sequels that they are supposedly working on. I wonder if the sequels will get individual release or in a boxset with the original like they did with the BD.

I've seen ANOES so many times that even a perfect 4K transfer isn't going to get me to buy this if it looks like that Beetlejuice steel. I just can't do it anymore.

The cover will be the front door with a pair of legs sticking out the small window with the elm street sign's shadow across the front of the house.

It's WB so they'll just cram them in a small box with generic artwork and call it a day
