Thanks for the shots! Mine just shipped. I thought this wasn't out until later this month?

Right Stuf ships when their stock comes in, generally beating release dates by weeks (and sometimes more than that!).

Anybody know if Discotek titles go on sale during Black Friday ? I picked up Space Sheriff Sharivan recently and I'm really diggin it.
I'm wondering if it's worth waiting for a deal to pick up some more tokusatsu like this one or is this current price as good as the deals get ?

I think the last big discount was a little before Black Friday last year. Gavan was $39.34 at Crunchyroll starting on/around October 21.

You might save 5 bucks or so but these sets are all pretty fairly priced as-is. Be aware that the Discotek Tokusatsu stuff will likely only remain in print for a few years after release based on their past licensing deals.

For example, MegaBeast Investigator Juspion has gone out of print recently and prices are ridiculous on the used market.

That's good to know thank you for the info. I definitely want to pick up more of the metal hero stuff and Kamen Rider Black from them.

The Kamen Rider Black (and Black RX) sets are fantastic. Don't sleep on those.

I also can't wait for their upcoming release of Kamen Rider V3 from the Showa era. That should hit blu-ray in the next 90 days (along with another Showa-era favorite series, Android Kikaider)!!

Nice ! Thanks for mentioning those I'll need to check them out !
I'm hoping if I pick up multiple titles at once maybe I can find a better discount, but we'll see lol.

Has anybody checked out Mobile Cop Jiban ? I'm wondering if that one is worth picking up as well, but all 52 episodes on 1 disc seems crazy.

I have it and love it. The episodes are all DVD quality but you can fit a lot of hours of standard def content on a 50 GB disc without any issues. It’s a great way to own the complete series which for technical reasons isn’t scanned in HD.

The encodes are really good and it’s actually incredibly convenient to have all the content on just one disc. Obviously I would have loved true HD masters but if this is the best option available, I’ll take it over no release at all.

Discotek does not shy away from SD content on Blu-ray if HD masters are not available or not possible and ultimately it’s proven to be a very viable way of releasing material that would otherwise be forgotten. Lots of their anime series are presented this way and I’m grateful to have them at all.

Awesome so glad to hear that. I don't mind DVD quality for series like this. I have Zyurangers on DVD and I actually love how to looks on DVD. I just wasn't sure how 52 episodes on 1 bluray disc would look like. Thanks for the response/info I appreciate it.
