I'm hoping Payne's work output will model after Guy Ritchie who keeps knockin' movie after movie in rapid succession.

So he's got this Danish film, a French film about arm chair dealers, his Election sequel and his Western set in Nebraska.

Payne's quality control is much better than Ritchie's. I doubt he will end up bashing these movies out in quick succession, even assuming they all get made.

His current project is being briefly mentioned in stories about him heading the Venice Film Festival Jury:

Payne will move to Denmark in the Fall in order to make this.

I’m moving to Denmark in the Fall. I’m going to make a proper European art film. I got European citizenship about four years ago. I’m Greek. I don’t care that much about Greek citizenship, per se, but I got it with a very practical goal in mind, which was to make films in Europe and qualify for state funding, and the Film Gods brought me this project in Danish [“Somewhere Out There”]. Renate Reinsve is going to be in it.
