![]() Which reminds me....that we're still not hearing anything about the missing or tied-up OCN for Day of the Dead 1985, and there's been no progress on licensing for a uhd for that flick either (even if it has to be a 4k scan of an IP). Apparently lost or tied up somewhere in South Africa. Tragic, that. Talk about a film that's truly begging a 4k uhd release, and has a rabid fan base to match that would utterly gobble it up. We get Anthropophagous and Cannibal Apocalypse in uhd (and Friday the 13th 2009 4k ![]() Last edited by DaylightsEnd; 07-19-2024 at 12:18 AM. |

So...Arrow isn't doing a regular blu-ray of this?

As for there being no boobs in Jason Lives, I don't care. I did when I was 15 or 20 years old. I don't object to them bring in a movie, but they aren't needed. |

Even of they released it on the 10th, most people wouldn't have received it in time for the 13th anyways. It should have been released weeks earlier. They've done the same stupid thing with Trick 'R Treat. Release date is way too close to Halloween.

I believe this is distributed by WB in the USA and licensed to Arrow. Arrow likes to include more in their releases. Studios don't believe in extras and will just release it barebones. But that is also why you are paying a premium on this release vs a studio release.

Why would anyone want to pay a premium for a 4K release of a fairly lame remake of a classic horror movie? Truth be told, I thought it wasn’t half bad. But I couldn’t care less about a fancy case and extra special features. |

For me I actually liked the remake (I’d probably rate it as 4th or 5th best) and it’s a good intro for the newbies. I’m excited for the new commentaries. I always thought new line shortchanged the original release on features.

The remake is one of the better ones, both in terms of the mid/late 2000s remake trend, and among the Friday the 13 films. Now if Arrow was doing this for the Elm Street remake, then I'd be questioning their decisions.
