Default A Simple Plan

Gosh this film really needs a Blu Ray if I have to guess who's going to release this on Blu Ray it's probably either Shout Factory or Arrow Video.

Anyways enough about the fact this is getting a Blu Ray at some point I have a lot of fond memories of this film.
I watched it on TV and it blew my mind as before watching this film my only experience Sam Raimi wise was Spider Man. And wow this film is so dang underrated and un appreciated it deserves better and once I hear a Blu Ray announcement I will probably scream with excitement this film is very very underrated. And honestly one of my favorite Billy Bob Thornton films of all time up there with Bandits. So who else has great memories of this film besides me because this film is so dang good. And one of my favorite Sam Raimi films of all time.

There is no Region A BD or UHD yet but there are good import Region A friendly releases that came out. I recommend the Japan release. It's available on eBay here. Good seller ships fast.

The rumour around the camp fire is Arrow will do a US release at some point.

Thanks I'll be buying that after I get paid on Tuesday. That's so cool it's a nice consolation prize before the eventual Blu Ray in the US and the UK this year. It's going to be nice to reexperience this film again for the first time in years.

I have a feeling they will Shout doesn't really care much about anything older than the 80's these days even then they still wouldn't release it themselves. I would be shocked if Shout releases this it would be unexpected but I highly doubt it.

I have the Japan BD it's worth it. Good video and audio and of course it has English audio and no forced subs. If you like the movie this is the one to get.

I can definitely see Arrow doing a release but I would not at all be surprised to see Paramount release it themselves maybe MOD UHD or MOD BD. I would not count on it though for now.

I watched it on Wednesday it was great such a fantastic movie and the picture and audio was quite good too for the Blu Ray. It was so nice to rewatch this again and I cried quite a bit at the ending.

Yeah it wouldn't surprise me either if Paramount releases it themselves as they've been releasing a number of titles that weren't on Blu Ray before recently including Ordinary People, Red Eye, Double Jeopardy, and others. Still Arrow feels like the one to do it and it wouldn't surprise me at all if Arrow does release this on Blu Ray. Same with Paramount I think they might both release it on Blu Ray which sounds strange but it's not like that hasn't happened before. Double Jeopardy being a huge example of a Paramount title being released both by Paramount and imprint. So who's to say it won't happen again.

Speaking of Billy Bob Thornton it turns out there's also a Japanese Blu Ray for Sling Blade too by the same company along with Rules of engagement. I think I might pick these up at some point.
