Disney Insider ending December 4th, 2024

Disney is ending their Insider program on December 4th.

Why are all these companies stopping these reward programs?

Of course - They have nothing worth redeeming

I’ll miss it.

I’ve probably redeemed close to $200 worth of gift cards over 15 years with the program.

Nothing life changing— but nice to have some house money when trying to get some food in the parks.

Time to spend those points! I just redeemed most of mine for Rocketman Blu-ray... have a few left, not enough for another title... sad it's ending.

I have almost 16000 points. Wish they had something worth redeeming. Will probably just lose my points.

It seems like a gamble to wait if you have any points left as so many of the movies are selling out. I was hoping for the Aristocats with my last points but I am still waiting on the 24 hour reset as I think I burned a code earlier and Aristocats is now sold out so I hope maybe I will end up with enough for Aladdin now and it does not sell out.

Sucks, I think I have like 14,000 unused points. I only really liked the free movie rewards. Maybe I’ll go on a shopping spree…

Just redeem them for 4K or Blu-ray movies, you can easily sell or trade those.

Man I just logged on and had 20,000 points. I missed out on some cool stuff but I ordered a bunch of movies I already own and a few I don’t. I’ll probably give them to my nephews. They had a few cool knick knacks that I would’ve wanted but they were sold out.

Sounds like you spent your points but they're still going to be adding rewards in the coming weeks. There are a few Jim Shore figurines that say coming soon.

Any of those new items might in much smaller quantities and sell out fast though so if you are at least getting stuff you had some interest in it is probably just to spend the points now. That banner from Disney reminds me of the Universal program closing where they teased the larger than normal last batch and sure the numbers might have been there, but it was overall a disappointing assortment of films.

I would, but not sure if you try and sell movies online much lately. Most of the Disney titles they have left to redeem I’d be lucky to get a $1 a disc even brand new. I unloaded my entire physical collection 4 years ago. Every Disney/marvel movie I had wasn’t worth anything due to over saturation of how many people already own them.

If some of them came with digital copies for titles I didn’t already own, would definitely consider it though.

Just not worth the hassle selling the discs.

I knew it was going to happen, but damn I hate when it finally comes up as I now have 40K damn points to use up and no clue what I actually want.
I have a slight interest in that Beauty and The Beast up now, but for all I know is another Jasmine or Mulan figurine will be up next that I wouldn't be able to afford.

They're closing all of these down because every company is tightening the belt, so to say. Even though most of these rewards from most of the studios are overstock and/or promos, they're still losing money enough to cut every cost they can, so they cans save all that money plus whatever budget these programs have had.
