Yuck, thought for a moment this was the brilliant Danish film https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=366503

James McAvoy is usually good but I'm not tempted by this remake. Nothing attractive about it at all. The original film partly worked because it had unknown actors -for me- in it.

In the UK? We can only hope. Shudder have some rights for the USA. I don't think there was a UK distibutor the film it was lost in the COVID troubles sadly.

One good thing about the remake is it'll bring some much needed attention to the original film which is a hard watch, unsettling and brutal.

MacAvoy would probably like to remake the Danish film -watch him in Filth- but that's not going to happen.

You can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig.

I have a feeling Universal will be stopping combo packs for the US just like Warner Bros.

Italy

Also Italy: https://www.amazon.it/dp/B0DH4TWTB6/

This could sneak out on 4K somewhere.

Memo to graphic designer: Don't mention it's a remake to a vastly superior film and also pretend it's another amazing film from the [tired] Blumhouse™ brand name.

Blumhouse = the Ken Burns of motion pictures.

I see in Italy they've decided to go the other route completely:

Volvo drivers have always scared me (even more now they're owned by a company in the Ukraine sanctions-dodging China).
