I dunno... It usually goes all wrong, when an American studio/writer attempts to translate British humor to American humor. They tried remaking Fawlty Towers (co-written by an ex-Python) and it was a complete failure.

Will give this miss.
Loved the movie, so was willing to give this a go. However, this doesn’t look my cup of tea, at all. Everything I loved about the movie & Gilliam's direction, appears to be missing from the trailer. Also Lisa Kudrow doing her usual schlock - No thank you. Can’t think I’ve ever seen her in anything where I have personally found her performance funny or in anyway, endearing. Likely a consequence of viewers growing increasingly aware, of how the studios/streaming channels like to buy the rights for an IP that was popular in the 1980s/90s, only to wrestle their new version into something that the 'original' audience can't recognize and have no interest in watching. The recent reboots of Willow and Doctor Who says hello.
A series like Shogun is the exception. |

The "reboot" of Doctor Who, if you want to call it that, began in 2005 and is still going strong. The recent partnership with Disney means the show now has the potential to reach a lot more viewers than when it was just on the BBC.

RT Davis called the last season, Season 1, it's a soft reboot, and it was so bad that season 3 is in question. They couldn't stop season 2 because it was already filmed before the backlash
