United Kingdom Shaun of The Dead 4K UHD (those guys, 20th Anniversary UK remastered, December 2024)

Amazon UK have a couple of new listings for SOTD for December 2024:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DHSW7PSG/
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DHSYJNXM/

Page title for the first one says "remastered".

About time it had a separate release, I have the old 2019 Australia release as I wanted to avoid the other 2 films.

Hopefully there's something new here.

10/10 film for me.

as already have it, will wait reviews and some screenshot comparisons before shelling out.
Was definitly the weakest of the three in the boxset, so hopeful for a noticeable improvement

Bollocks it was, it was a tasteful update of a movie made with very limited means, while Hot Funk got smashed with the DNR stick for some inexplicable reason. As much as I'm looking forward to this, Shaun isn't the one that needed 'remastering'.

So the assumption is that this is the version that's been showing in cinemas recently, which seems to have a slightly different look to the home video releases we've been used to. Don't think it's been out in the UK yet. Has anyone seen it elsewhere? I'm looking forward to checking it out.

Loved Shaun and Hot Fuzz, I only saw Worlds End fairly recently as I’d avoided it due to people saying it wasn’t all that, but I really enjoyed it.

Never picked up the 4k Trilogy boxset because of the issues with picture quality, so day 1 buy if this is a nice improvement over the old 4k disc.

Fingers crossed Hot Fuzz and Worlds End get new masters done too, all 3 films are great and deserve good transfers.

Gone back and checked and i was wrong - it is Hot Fuzz thats ropey. Shaun isn't fabulous but is indeed better than HF
Apologies, I'll blame my aging memory! haha

Ordered the steelbook from HMV. I love the comic book theme and the disc art is great!

I don’t get wet over steels as a rule but that EC comics spoof is inspired.

You are indeed, I'll have to get you to sign mine!!

It's a pity there's no representation for Shaun's ladies on the cover tho

Indeed. Kate Ashfield was rather sweet. She deserved to have had a bigger career than she did.

HMV lisitng the Steelbook £24.99 https://hmv.com/store/film-tv/4k-ult...sary-steelbook

I do like it a lot more that the standard case's artwork (it looks like it's been through the AI machine).

I'm sure HMV was in stock last night but I think Zavvi always says that for a run-in period.

Still at Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DHSYJNXM/ No harm ordering there and cancelling if you're waiting for 20% at HMV.

I only seen the images on my phone but once I seen them in full I definitely like the Steelbook.
