Well, there are many anime-zing intros to choose from so it's rather difficult to pick a single favorite.
However, if I had to pick only one, it's gotta be this:

The combination of striking visuals, editing, and the music itself is just top quality stuff and feels like something that could have easily played on MTV back in the good ol' "Music Television" days.

The pure magic of Escalfowne's intro will never be bested. Even 20 years after its release when I was walking around downtown Tokyo with this playing my headphones for the first time, this was epic =)

pretty sure this was Shinbo's first attempt at changing the OP every episode. Then completely changing it when the show got serious.

of all the Kugumine Rie OPs, this one is still the best IMO
