there's this site that has upcoming info on blurays and dvds that says even though its a universal movie, its going to be Region A.

That doesn't tell me anything, but it doesn't matter. It's still 2 month until release date, so I'm guessing whoever's marked it as "region A" is probably just a generic description. It's probably region free, which will be tested when copies are available.
