The Grand Tour aka Timescape (1991)

I went into this movie knowing nothing about it and had a great time, so I won't post the plot summary here. Suffice to say, it's a really cool, low-budget sci-fi flick from David Twohy (The Arrival, Pitch Black), and if you enjoy the type of sci-fi movie you might have randomly caught on TV on a Saturday afternoon in the 90s, I think you'll dig this. Stars Jeff Daniels and Ariana Richards from Angus and Jurassic Park. It's not a masterpiece, but it's a gem.

I paid full price. Good movie, shame about the budget because the disaster event portion just falls flat with whatever miniature effects they used and it's the main build up of the film. The jump from this to The Arrival was huge. This also made me watch some of the episodes of the show it was based on. I read this disc was supposed to have a bunch of new special features but got ommited because of strike garbage at the time.
