Warner Bros Untitled Looney Tunes animated project

New Looney Tunes movie in the works, with a planned theatrical release

Quote:
Despite the lack of details, this new Looney Tunes tale will likely be a theatrically released feature film, as Bill Damaschke made it explicitly clear on the panel that is what WBPA is currently focused on.

According to the article, Rumble director Hamish Grieve and co-director on DreamWorks' Abominable Todd Wilderman will be directing, they are huge fans of classic cartoons - in particular Chuck Jones

Anyone who's a fan of Chuck Jones is someone whose work I definitely want to watch!

Eric Bauza (current voice of Bugs, Daffy, etc in Looney Tunes media) was recently at Warner Bros. Pictures Animation's headquarters...

All of the new division's announced movies are fully animated, it won't be the third Space Jam

If it's anything like The Day the Earth Blew Up then I'm in.

Coyote VS ACME better release in the next few years, or Warner Bros. popularity will diminish.

That still doesn't excuse them writing off people's hard work and effort for tax.

I wish it were Bye Bye Bunny because that project sounded like so much fun, and the demo that leaked for one of the songs was fantastic. That one never even made it to animation did it?

Still, I'm happy to see that (for now) we're getting a new theatrical Looney Tunes movie. Assuming it comes out in 2027, that would mean that thanks to Ketchup's acquiring of The Day the Earth Blew Up and Coyote vs. Acme, we'd have three consecutive years of theatrical Looney Tunes films. Hearing that this new project is going to be heavily influenced by Chuck Jones gives me hope as his stuff was easily my favorite content in the Looney Tunes canon.
