Cameron's Closet (1988)

There was no a thread for this movie so I decided to make one. The movie was decent for it's time, if and it uses elements from A Nightmare on Elm Street and Poltergeist and other famous supernatural horror films. But it offers great special creature effects from Oscar winner Carlo Rambaldi (E.T., Alien, Dune, Deep Red, Cat's Eye) and great cinematography from James Cameron's frequent collaborator Russell Carpenter (Titanic, True Lies, Avatar The Way of Water, The Lady in White, Pet Sematary 2). Let's hope for Shout Factory or Arrow to do their magic and have a future 4K and/or Blu-ray release.

Yes we need more horror never released on Blu ray.

It is pretty bad. The drama is on a Lifetime TV movie level, some camera effects are simply footage in reverse, and Gary Hudson's shirtless macho antics are unintentional funny.

With that said, I wouldn't mind having this on blu because it is also entertaining.

I haven't seen this since VHS days. I remember not liking it much, but I do still have a recording on tape somewhere so might give it a go for the first time in decades.
The UK VHS release had brilliant box/poster art, which is what I find so memorable about it.
