Cannot connect to playstation network..... - Blu-ray Forum

Just updated to firmware 3.0 and now cannot connect to the playstation network. Is there something new I need to adjust in the settings? I was/am connected via wireless. Thanks.......Or is does the network go down from time to time and happens to be down due to the update traffic.

Many people are having problems. Just select sign in and wait... worked for me.

Thanks. I'll give it a try tomorrow. New to the PS3 and thought it may have been a reset of settings.

FWIW I had 3 disconnect losses today due to EA errors, that may be related to this. Haven't tried to get onto PSN since I upgraded to 3.0 though.

i had the same problem a few weeks ago. i have a motorola wireless cable modem and had to go in a shut the firewall off to get in. give it a try and see if u don't mind taking down the firewall

I updated last night and it took awhile to log in but it went in.

Now I'm downloading Super Stardust HD and it's going SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW.

Been about 10 minutes and it's 39% done on a 292mb file.

This is messed up. lol

Turn off your PS3 and try again. I've had my wifi get "stuck" in the past, the green light will be just a constant green rather than flashing. Re-booting usually sorts it out.

problem was fixed for me last night.. tried to sign in went automatically and no issues.. other than my friends list looked like ass -_-

I been having the same problem. I downloaded the newset 3.0.1 update last night and now I cannot connect to PSN? It was working fine a few days ago, but now its a no go. I did the internet connection test and it fails on connect to PSN. Anyone can help me?

1. Turn off modem.
2. Turn off router.
3. Turn off PS3.
4. Turn on modem.
5. Turn on router.
6. Turn on PS3.

Power cycling your network equipment in the order I specified fixes the majority network problems.
