You call Vincent an LG Bot, which could be true. However, according to Quantum TV, Value Electronics is a diamond-tier Sony TV retailer.

Yes, we are one of Sony's "Diamond Dealers", we are LG's "Prestigious Pinnacle Dealer" and for Samsung we are their "Platinum Dealer". These are the top dealer status for these three manufacturers.
I work with all three manufacturers on image performance advancements, firmware update requests and other technical needs to help them to get the very best images with all content. We also just took on TCL as one of their factory direct authorized dealers. We like their New Flagship 115" QM891G and the 65" - 98" QM851G QD MiniLED TVs. With their new flagship QM8 series they have come up to the performance level of the top tier 1 TV brands. Last edited by Robert Zohn; 12-19-2024 at 09:28 PM. |

What’s your findings and opinion about using an A95L for console gaming Robert? I saw a person comment on another site recently that they think an LG BX OLED is better to use for gaming than an A95L.

Sony upgraded the gaming on all BRAVIA TVs. Sony BRAVIA TVs are perfectly matched for all of Sony's PlayStation gaming consoles and also perform very well with all other gaming consoles.
For 120Hz - 144Hz PC gaming I'd suggest one of LG's new 2024 OLED TVs, like the C4 or G4 series. |

Pity that they're focusing so much on fookin gaming that the MediaTek chips are still producing banding on 4K playback, even on Sony TVs which have traditionally been untouchable for banding. Such a shame, I could not give any less of a shit about 120Hz Dobly Vision VRR blah blah if I tried, and I hates it that the main thing I'd use a new TV for is now an afterthought.

They then quoted some information from Rtings.com to support their comment. You have been doing the annual VE shootout for 20 plus years and testing and comparing TVs for even longer, so I’m just after your thoughts and first hand experience on this and whether any testing you have done with the 2020 LG BX WOLED and Sony a95L QD-OLED and comparing them does put the BX in front of the a95L for PS5 and other gaming console performance, and also if other OLED TVs that cost significantly less than the a95L and G4 do noticeably outperform perform it in this area? Thank you. Last edited by Youreallyareagerbil; 12-27-2024 at 10:27 AM. |

I keep hearing that LG is better for gaming and Sony is better for cinema/movies. I can see that LG still crushes blacks, for some reason they haven't figured out how to resolve near-black issues.
