Number of feature length movies you watched in 2024 - Blu-ray Forum

There are a lot of different definitions for "feature length" but since there are features that are just over an hour we'll use 60 minutes as the minimum. With that in mind how many feature films did you watch last year?

I try to keep a running tally but know I've missed a few along the way. In spite of that I know my total was just short of 270 for the year.

Only 6 of those were 2024 films though.

While I came to a virtual standstill in October, prior to that I had watched well over two hundred and fifty films. I agree with Truffaut's philosophy in life: three films a day, three books a week and records of great music would be enough to make me happy to the day I die.

Well, I haven't been to the cinema since July 2022 to see Top Gun. So I'm trying to think if I've seen any movies on streaming.

It might be zero or it could be between 1 and 5.

Film for me is a largely nostalgic practice now. If there's a good movie from the 70's or 80's on then I'll sit down and watch it.

190 movies from AMC alone

I saw 439 movies this year which was slightly down from last year. The breakdown:

211 in the theater
174 on disc
54 streaming

I saw films in 17 different languages (not counting English). I purchased about 3X as many discs as I watched and decided to try and cut back this year.

After Letterboxd I watched 585 films last year.
Most of them from my own physical collection, but also some I borrowed, 46 at the cinema and maybe two or three broadcast on TV.

Watched over 280 movies last year. And out of those, just 97 of them were actual 2024 releases.

I probably watched close to 120 this year (maybe including 6 from 2024 releases).
