Hail, Caesar! 4K UHD (2016) (Shout! Factory) - Blu-ray Forum

Shout! Factory will be releasing the Coen Brothers' Hail, Caesar! (2016) on 4K UHD tentatively in April! This is in addition to Burn After Reading also coming the same month.

This is Roger Deakins’ final celluloid film! He didn’t like making it after having gone digital but the end result is nonetheless spectacular. Wonderful news!

Heh. My spidey senses were tingling a month or two ago, so I offloaded this Blu-ray that had an accompanying pristine slip. Something told me this was coming... Can't wait!

Remember reviews being mixed on this, but I've always loved it. Also credit it for helping me to discover the work of Esther Williams!

Exactly. Maybe Kino will make it happen and it can sit right next to the original. We've now had enough DVD to 4KUHD upgrades that I'm optimistic about this one!

Agreed; it gets better every time I see it.

I also think it's interesting to compare this film with Damien Chazelle's BABYLON. They both deal with very similar thematic material, but HAIL CAESAR does it in just over half the time and is a lot funnier IMO.
