Nice to have them all in a small package. Too late though, I'm afraid.

I didn't get the sets that released in 2021.
Is there a chance that the Appendices will be included this time around?

I’m happy with my OG 3 4K set and don’t need the hobbits - cool release though.

I didn't pick up the large box set nor the smaller releases so I'll pick this up especially since they have active digital codes again too.

No, this is the same as the previous Middle Earth Collection except for the bonus Blu-ray disc that was included there. This one is 30 discs vs 31 in that one.

That 31st disc being the Drafthouse and Cannes stuff I'm guessing. Weird they cut only that disc out, but it was in a separate box in the OG Middle Earth set.

The big question for me is if the case is going to be flimsy junk like usual.

Honestly, don't know why they don't nix the Blu-Ray copies of the movies here and just package the bonus discs with them.

Hell, could even have the LOTR Appendixes on 3 Blu-Rays instead of 6 DVDs by just sticking them on there even in SD. Blu-Ray could fit em.

Don't care about the Hobit trilogy, and no to AI DNR 4K LoTR trilogy.

I'm still stuck with the Extended DVD collections til this day.

No. Luckily the digital copies granted them as bonus features last time, so don't imagine that will have changed. Not ideal but better than nothing.

Remember though...when you ignore the 4K versions, you're missing out on something very important, and a huge improvement over the DVDs, ...Dolby Atmos!

That has been my wish for years but Warner doesn't bother or care. I have to suffer my special features on the set on PAL. Which means I have to rebuy the NTSC versions.. more than once -__-

How can there be twenty discs in the thing and it still omits the damned extras? Does it at least retain the commentaries?

20, the back of the box says 30!

3 4ks for Hobbit EE films
3 blurays for Hobbit EE films
3 4k for Theatrical
3 Bluray for theatrical

LOTR films each had two discs for EE and 3 for theatrical so:

6 4ks
6 blurays
3 4k for theatrical
3 bluray for theatrical

That's 30

Commentaries not on 4ks but should be on the blurays
