Is the movie Bug coming out on blu-ray? The dvd is released on 9-25...

No, it isn't. It was announced for Blu-Ray back in July, but was cancelled shortly thereafter.

Just saw Bug; very strange film, especially given that Friedkin directed this - it's definitely unlike any other film I've seen by him. It reminds me of a play (not unusual, since it's based on a play) due to the limited actors/actresses & small, hotel room setting. The film used also looked intentionally grainy, i.e. almost documentary style - which added to the vibe of the movie...

Peter's delusions in the film were quite freaky & disturbing, especially since he believed what he was saying.

Lionsgate owns the movie, so it'll be coming out through the Vestron line...eventually (unless they pull an American Psycho 2 and release it as a budget title out of the blue).

it's on Amazon.uk if I'm not mistaken. No idea of the origin, or if it's English friendly.

Thanks - I see that one. But the seller has quite a bit of negative feedback. And I'm not sure if they ship to the United States, though the feedback is a deterrent.

If I wasn't such a fan of the film, I'd sell you my copy. I recommend keeping an eye on Amazon.de for a seller that will ship internationally. Another possibility is to find a bluray.com user in Germany that will buy it and ship it to you. Other members here have had success doing that. Good luck.

No problem. I suggest clicking Forum at the top of the screen (at the end of the silver banner). Once there, locate "Blu-ray Movies - International." Germany is one of the countries listed. I'm sure creating a Bug thread asking for someone to either trade with or just pay for the blu-ray plus shipping and handling. I hope this helps.
