Blu-ray Reviews? - Blu-ray Forum

I know that there are over a 1000 titles already released on blu, with many more to come each week. My question is about the reviews on this site. I know two movies, Annapolis and Clear and Present Danger have been out for a while, yet they have no official review on this site, only user reviews. Will there come a time that these titles (and others too) will be reviewed sometime in the future?

Definitely a legitimate question. I have looked up various titles and seen many which have not been officially reviewed yet. The reviewers are pretty good on keeping up with the new releases these days. I can tell you that reviewing the movies can be a bit time consuming.

I enjoy reading the reviews on this site, and have written a few user reviews, myself.

It never hurts to keep checking. I have noticed that every now and then, a review will pop up for a long-released catalog title. Perhaps someone who contributes to the official reviews on this site will see your query, and may be able to obtain the movies in question and be able to offer a review.

Thanks for the question cvm! There are titles that inevitably slip through the cracks from week to week, and usually when we have a spare moment or two between the onslaught of new releases, we'll try to go back and add proper reviews to some of those backlog films. Keep checking in, as we'll get to them eventually!

I am sure they are not forgotten but its mostly the newer releases everyone wants to know about or the real popular titles.

My advice would be to read several reviews on this site and get a feel for the different reviewers based upon their style. If you should develop a "favorite" reviewer drop him a line with the titles that you would like to have reviewed. The folks that do official reviews seem to have a lot of care for this site and the membership, and if they knew that someone wanted to have a certain catalog title reviewed I'd be shocked if they wouldn't do it if they had access to a copy.

I think our reviewers tend to catch up with certain past titles if users request them or show they are generally interested. Otherwise, I find some user reviews just as useful...

Thanks. I figured they just got skipped over due to the massive amount of movies that are released.

I think its just a matter of the the reviewers playing "catch up".

The newer title are given priority.
