Might not get in April but I'd like to do it. I have ps5 pro so there should (finally) be no horrible framerate issues.

I wonder if Sony is thinking about revisiting this franchise and the PS5 upgrade is a way to gauge interest. I thought this game was one of the best new IP’s to come out on the PS4 (and Deacon one of the best new protagonists), and I would gladly pay more than the $10 upgrade fee for a physical copy.
Shame Sony never gave this a fair shake with a sequel. |

The Days Gone game with the PS5 update already looks great on PS5, but is still technnically a PS4 game, so with this true upgrade, it'll speed up the long loading start up time.
Once the game is going though, hardly any loading other than for story cutscenes. This game kept going with the story and side missions blended fully into the story, but they gave you your money's worth in terms of play time value. Enjoyable game and it's good they're not charging more than $10 for those who already own the PS4 disc. I haven't upgraded Horizon 1 PS4 disc yet (already has the PS5 "update") but I guess you put the disc in, connect online, and then search in the "..." for download upgrade $10. For those who wanted a sequel, where else could they go with the game's story and locations? Days Gone set on the East coast could be interesting. Deacon heading east. I think Sony Bend said no plans for a sequel and they're clearly working on something new. Not Syphon Filter either. |

This needed a sequel, not a remastered. While I like the addition of horde mode, it's not enough to warrant the upgrade.
And a sequel could happen but I don't like it's chances. Director Jeff Ross is gone and John Garvin, writer/director, is also gone from the studio. I know others can step in and take over the story but they were intrinsic to the game and potential franchise that could be built. I know is in hot water with his comments about Deacon and "your girl" along with his annoyance that Astro Bot featured his character, he's a necessary to having this Days Gone world continue. |

Gives me a reason to replay this great game. Without base PS4 framedrops from hell
![]() The collector in me would have appreciated a physical PS5 copy though ![]() |

I wish the $10 upgrade PS5 version included a way to slow down the clock or adjust it for longer day time hours. Once it turns to night, all the monsters emerge, affecting exploring. |
