Pulp Fiction and Resovior Dogs are his only great movies. After that, he has nothing new to say. People can say his scripts are sharp and creative, but after Pulp Fiction they all have become like a Nickelback Record record. Same feel, different words.

His only good films? Really? Come on, one of the best things among many other is that he makes only quality films, all of them are incredible movies. I agree that they're not for everyone but to say they're not good? Come on, seriously...

Are you kidding me? There are directors who try different styles, genres, etc, and there are directors who do only what they like best, sort of a trademark. None is better, as long as they are good it doesn't matter what they do. Quentin falls in the second category, and while you say his scripts are "like a record", me among many other people just hope that Quentin keeps writing as before, same style....that's what makes Quentin who he is.

i've never said this phrase about anyone before but quentin tarantino is without a doubt an overrated hack! when he isnt making crappy movies he is slapping his name on stuff he had little or nothing to do with! i.e. jet li's hero. seriously how anyone likes this guy is beyond me...
Just like your status say, newbie

i like k.b1 the most because there was more action and less talking with all the tarantino style. then inglorious bastards is a second and pulp fiction third. i feel that some of his movies such as k.b2 and grindhouse are so heavily dialog driven that it can be a bore especially since a lot of the dialog feels like it doesn't go anywhere or have purpose. IMO

Inglourious Basterds is the ONLY movie that´s made me spontaneously cheer, when the credits rolled.
The movie was absolutly fantastic. Close to perfect.

I used too regard Reservoir Dogs as his best work. He finally topped it.

Seriously. They are R Rated versions of Juno with "cool" and "trendy" dialogue hiding the fact that there is nothing really going on.

Shouldn't it be the other way? Juno being a pg13 version of quentin? After all he was first.

If the problem is that there's nothing going on then I'm guessing you don't like Seinfeld, a show abouth nothing, yet I can speak for many many people in saying it is the best comedy show so far.....The whole point of Quentin Tarantino is the "nonsense" dialog, yet it means something, helps develop the character. It's like a foot massage, it's nothing yet it means something, that's the beauty of it.

I voted Kill Bill, they should have left both parts as one choice.

Actually Tarentino would fall in the first category. He has tried different genres, but with same formula as all other films he has done. I am not saying Kill Bills were horrible, They were fun not great. Death Proof though is one of the worst movies ever made plain and simple.
Tarentino's problem is, he thinks he is the coolest guy on the planet and making a movie every couple years with the same dialogue with just different has been stars is getting old. He needs to be fresh like he was for Pulp Fiction and Resorvior Dogs.

+1 agreed...those are his best movies by far...he said in an interview he wants to revisit 'crime stories' in a possible next movie...

Pulp Fiction with Jackie Brown in second place. I haven't seen Inglorious Basterds yet (hopefully this week).

I do enjoy Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs but had to vote Inglourious Basterds. I do understand peoples complaints about the movie but I for some reason enjoyed it. Can't quite explain it though....
