From your perspective, not mine which is why I brought them up. If my critiques dont bother you, dont worry about it and just enjoy the damn game.

Got a new appreciation for Jessie on my recent replay of Quantum Break, also using the actress in a key role. Beth Wilder & Jessie Fayden feel like almost the same person.

Got back into this over the weekend, I got to the "Prime Candidate Mission" & did some side missions including helping the medic and cleansing the mirror. This game is sooo much fun. It makes me chuckle that the Director must continue to gain further security clearances.

Finished it over the weekend, including The Foundation DLC. I really enjoyed this, though there were grumbles, but Remedy did a great job and creating a different kind of 3rd person action game by creating a really interesting plot and location for the game.

Also, there are games, Witcher 3 for example, that let you know in some way you are in DLC territory as far as the quests while still being an extension of the game as a whole. Control could have used something to alert you that hey, your playing the DLC. It could have been the smallest of indicators in your mission log which would be great. I wouldn't have played this section yet had I known and wish I had known as it was a miserable experience at the level I was at with my character.

I think Dead Island 2 does what you’re saying: it lets you know you’re entering a DLC

With that said, sorry for bumping an old thread, but I just ordered this PS5 Ultimate Edition cuz I only ever played the original PS4 version. So it’s been about 4 and a half years since I played it but remember liking it a ton.

But I forgot: does this game have difficulty setting options?

The PS5 version was $9.99 digital awhile back, and I almost went for it months ago while on the PS Store PS5, but didn't have enough left on my PS Giftcard

on the pS5 store, so then passed it up for now. Eventually I might check Control out, as a fan of telekinesis abilities in games.

$9.99 was a funny price for the full PS5 digital Control game because that was the upgrade price they were initially charging to go from the Digital version PS4 to PS5 version upgrade I remember at launch of Control, years ago.

PS5 version till October 24, 2024 I believe, is digitally 8.99 only. Finally giving the game a chance after all these years. It's not bad so far. Basic controls are slightly clunky when she's jumping and moving about in small spaces.

One big visual flaw right off the bat is when I zoom in with L2 behind the shoulder, then strafe walk left or right, in the reflections of the glass, I can see she's not moving her legs at all. Then when I go straight or back, she moves her legs. They goofed that up. Such a basic thing. It's not part of her powers either.

Otherwise, it's interesting so far.

I have the game on GOG. It says PC was updated, but I don't think so. I don't see the extra costumes, I don't see an HDR option when I turn on my monitor's crappy HDR and I find no new tapes for this new mission in the Extrasensory Lab.

The Service Weapon Hotkey (number row) mod that I used two years ago now breaks the game, unless I move the installation out of the GOG folder. Whatever. I don't care about achievements anyway.

Edit: Oh, they're having technical issues. Steam already has it.

This game is tough. If I don't take control of the enemies right away one by one, they horde around and fire at me, character dead in a few seconds. No mercy in this game if you stink at it.

That got annoying towards the end game

but still this game is due a replay.

It wasn't at launch, but there are accessibility modes now, like 1 hit kills, and immortality.
